Thank You!I appreciate the warm welcome to Wolf Canyon that I have received from everyone! The people at this school make it a truly amazing place to work. Everyone's dedication to excellence shows through the care and effort put into the details of the school day. I feel blessed to be a part of the Wolf Canyon community.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am the oldest of four brothers, and my birthplace is Aberdeen, Maryland. I moved frequently during my childhood as my father got stationed in various places, including Yokosuka, Japan, Agana Heights, Guam, Olongapo City, Philippines, and Adak, Alaska. I finished elementary school here in the Chula Vista district at Juarez-Lincoln Elementary, and moved on to Mar Vista Middle and Chula Vista High School. I completed my undergraduate studies in Fine Arts and Education at Loma Linda University in Riverside, California, and started my teaching career as a high school Fine Arts teacher in Los Angeles with courses in Art History, Drawing, Painting, and Studio Ceramics. When I returned to San Diego, I began teaching at the elementary level, and have worked at various schools in this district, including Marshall, Loma Verde, Salt Creek, and Otay. I have also worked as a CVESD Mathematics and Science Resource Teacher at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park for the Inquiry Learning Partnership. I deeply enjoy fatherhood, and cherish the experience of raising full-time my two amazing children, Nataliya and Evan. Their extracurricular activities include music, sports, and church-related functions, so they definitely keep me busy. Their mother and I are divorced, but we get along well; my kids and I have a good relationship with her and her other children--four very active toddler boys.
Teachers, please don't hesitate to reach out to me for support with planning and implementing your curriculum! I am here to serve you in the challenging task of educating the children of our community. I also look forward to learning from you! I have great respect for each and every one of you because you are in the trenches every day, molding the minds and hearts of our future. The world depends on you for a brighter tomorrow.
